We all deserve moments in our life which we can’t put into words. I wanted my wedding to be such a moment that is, a ‘wedding to remember’, whose every occasion- every ceremony, every dance, every meal- should be such the every guest should eagerly wait in anticipation of the next round of fun, enjoyment, delicacies that await them.
I wanted my guests to fall in love with the venue, the food, the ceremonies, the music, the decoration…etc. I wanted my wedding to be such a fun filled and happy experience for my guests that they should say goodbye with a heavy heart and with a feeling that everyone will miss these 3-4 days of celebrations for a long-long time.
However, arrangement of such wedding celebrations require that a lot of time be devoted to searching the right venue, good musicians, proper caterers and in overall planning, scheduling and follow up. But it was not possible for me to find this time from my busy schedule. Moreover, even if I had the time, I, like most people lack the expertise to plan and arrange such a celebration. We all know that arranging & managing such a function/party/celebration is very different from the traditional manner in which the weddings were arranged & managed by the family members itself, and this is why event planners become important. Event planners have the necessary expertise and a thorough knowledge of various service providers required for organizing a good event.
So, I decided to hire an event planner – ‘We Do’, and now in hindsight I can say with great happiness that it was one of the best decisions taken by me.
The venue chosen by the event planner was a beautiful resort with lush greenery all around. A bit far from the city the resort provided a perfect setting for quiet & energizing mornings made lovelier by the only sounds of birds chirping and peacocks calling out to each other, relaxed afternoons around the swimming pool or in the lovely gardens, and boisterous evenings. All my guests fell in love with the venue the moment they walked in.
The catering team of ‘We Do’ took over the kitchen of the resort under some arrangement between them and the resort. The catering team prepared amazingly delicious delicacies. They were experts in preparing delicacies from different regions of the country as well as the continental & Chinese food. The variety of delicacies laid out every time and the aroma rising itself acted as an appetizer; and one of the happiest moments for my family was when guests demanded that certain delicacies be served again in the next meal even if they were not in the menu.
No Indian wedding is complete without music & dance and the entire arrangement of the Ladies sangeet ranging from the space chosen inside the resort, the decoration of the stage and the selection of orchestra/band which played the music was so awesome that even a person like me, i.e. who personifies the proverbial ‘having two left feet’ couldn’t escape the itch of dancing [if you can call that].
The photographer and his team have clicked such lovely photos and have made such attractive videos that I take out time everyday to watch them once at least.
I am so happy with the manner in which my wedding was planned and executed by the event planner that I can go on & on about the fun we had and the amazing experience of it all.
